SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The General Superintendent assist the Business Unit Manager in leading efforts to position the Fiber and Energy business area as a low cost, high productivity operation with a focus on development of a high performance work culture in all areas.  They identify critical leadership skills required to effectively implement all high performance work culture initiatives, train and develop the Fiber and Energy Team Leaders to ensure that they are fully capable of effectively executing these initiatives and develop and implement enhanced communication systems within and between operating areas.  The General Superintendent will lead the Fiber and Energy operating area re-design efforts. They fortify compliance for all environmental requirements and regulations, and sound environmental stewardship among all employees through awareness and training.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

▪ Bachelors Degree in Paper Science or Chemical Engineering

▪ Five to ten years of supervisory/management experience in kraft chemical pulping operations or similar industrial field 

▪ Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma (LSS), PI Process Book, SAP, computer modeling and statistics is highly desirable
