Allegheny Ludlum Corp., a premier processor and distributor of precision specialty metals for a worldwide variety of consumer and industrial applications, is seeking a Safety Management Professional at our Wallingford, CT plant.

 

This person will plan, implement, and manage the safety and industrial hygiene process at the facility.  Job responsibilities include the development and execution of written safety and health programs, employee training, on-site inspections/audits with corrective actions, and workers’ compensation management. This position will ensure compliance with all local and national safety and health requirements including reporting and documentation and will establish progressive loss control initiatives.  Demonstrated injury and illness reduction experience is a must.

 

A degree in Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene is required.  Five years experience in a manufacturing environment including mgmt./supervisory responsibility is desirable.  Steel industry experience is helpful.  Candidates must have strong communication (written and verbal) and organization skills. Proficiency with a PC is required (MS Office).
