Global Credit Collections Manager

NATIONAL PEN is a privately-held promotional products company that manufactures and sells product internationally through direct mail, telesales, retail, distributor and web channels.  We are headquartered in San Diego, with facilities in Mexico, Tennessee, Ireland, China and the Philippines.   

 

National Pen is searching for a Global Credit Collections Manager who will oversee company’s worldwide accounts receivable processing and credit and collections function.  Working with senior management, determines credit policy and collection goals.  Organizes collection staff and monitors progress worldwide.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Designs and refines credit policies and collection processes to maximize company profitability.

· Monitors company DSO and bad debt expense and adjusts policies and procedures accordingly

· Oversees performance of third party collection agencies; negotiates terms and establishes performance standards.

· Works with senior management to establish worldwide credit policy. 

· Adjusts policy as necessary to achieve company sales and profit goals.

· Establishes standards of performance for credit, collections, and accounts receivable staff.

· Provides senior management with key measurements of the effectiveness of the credit and collection function

· Monitors costs and effectiveness of performance of bank lockbox processing

· Negotiates terms and procedures for credit card processing

· Other duties as determined by the Vice President/Corporate Controller

 

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a business related field; Five plus years experience managing credit and collections. Multi-national credit and collections experience preferred. Experience with high transaction volumes preferred.  Experience working with a customer base that includes high volume retailers a plus.
