The Global Portfolio Manager for Centrifugal I reports to the Category Manager, Configured Air Products and manages a $100 MM+ annual revenue portfolio which includes all centrifugal products and NPD projects for CV1 through C950/C1000. Responsible for the long term profitable growth of the products and the life cycle of said products from innovation to sunsetting. The position requires a proven marketing or sales leader with a track record of creatively and profitably growing a business or product portfolio. Disciplined portfolio and innovation processes are required for success. The Global Portfolio Manager will define the long term mapping strategy for the portfolio in conjunction with the Category Manager by defining plans for internal investment in NPD and Innovation and positioning the portfolio to optimize profitable growth in all regions of the world.

Primary Responsibilities
• Strategic portfolio mapping / positioning for dramatic long term growth in all economic cycles
• Manage all products throughout lifecycle: innovation, introduction, growth, maturity, decline, sunsetting
• Develop technology road map with engineering for blue ocean opportunities
• Follow the Value Innovation process in defining new opportunities
• Define VAVE opportunities and prioritize with Category Manager.
• Define localization opportunities and coordinate efforts with appropriate functional managers to execute. Write scoping document for localization.
• Define allowable product scope globally for each product within the portfolio
• Work closely with regional sales and marketing teams to ensure their needs are understood and represented in the portfolio strategy.
• Make / buy / acquire product decisions
• Position as a product advocate and internal champion of the products
• Own product issues, engaged in hot jobs and service review meetings
• Set Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price
• Manage costs to maximize gross margin for the market served
• Collaborate with Global Air Product Marketing Team to drive competitive reviews, training, sales tools, and literature and media.

Professional Requirements
• Outstanding results as a leader in a high-performing business is a prerequisite
• 5+ years experience in Industrial Marketing and/or Sales Leadership environment
(Compressed air not required, but helpful).
• Global perspective and work experience (living and/or working in another country) is valued, but not required.
• Track record of success in relevant industrial markets is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is valued.
• Some travel, approximately 10-15%
