' The purpose of the Global Supply Value Engineer is to reduce Cummins Power Generation product life cycle costs, and improve customer driven product functionality, quality, reliability, and safety by applying Value Engineering principles and methods, and by effectively managing projects.' The Global Supply Value Engineer will provide technical leadership within the Global Supply organization, while collaborating with CPG Engineering functions and Suppliers, with respect to product design, validation and manufacturing.' The Global Supply Value Engineer will support the Global Supply Initiatives and Projects, as a team member, fulfilling Engineering related needs, working with CPG Engineering groups to ensure timely/flawless execution. BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ' Excellent Skills in Product and Manufacturing Engineering o Value Engineering o Design for Manufacturing o Design for Procurability o DFSS and DMAIC Six Sigma' Project Management' Production Management, Materials Planning, and Logistics' Cost Accounting, Accounting, and Finance' Quality and Reliability Engineering Concepts' Excellent communication and inter-personal skills' The ability to deliver superior results in an environment of global plants and businesses' The ability to manage external service providers engaged for Engineering services' Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a widely diverse cultural environment and in a large matrix organization' Must be willing to travel internationally on a regular basis Cummins is an Equal Opportunity Employer
