Grand Rapids based CNC Application Engineer

My client is one of the largest distributors of CNC Machines in the US.  They are looking for a Application Engineer to work out of their new facility in Grand Rapids.  This is an expansion position due to growth. They represent one of the worlds largest builders of CNC mills and lathes.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience reading AND writing programs on Fanuc and Mits. controls. 

Candidates must have program experience with 5 plus axis milling machines.

Candidates must have re tooling and parts processing experience.

Candidates must be able to work alone and in a group environment.

Candidates must be comfortable training and teaching the operations of the machines.

Candidates must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time.

Candidates must be able to commute or relocate to the Grand Rapids area.

 

The job responsibilities are:

Reading and writing CNC programs on 5 plus axis Milling machines.

Training and teaching operators how to run the newly installed machines.

Re tooling, proving, and doing runoffs.

Demonstrate the machines to potential customers.

Travel is not on a weekly basis.  Travel is based on installations:

 

While my client would prefer someone that is currently an Application Engineer they would consider a hands on programmer with Fanuc experience.
