Graphic Designer / Developer

Industrial Scientific Corporation is a dynamic and growing Pittsburgh-based company and a world leader in gas detection products and services.  We're seeking a Graphic Designer / Developer.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:



This position will be responsible for the creative design and layout of all printed and electronic sales literature, direct marketing design work, PowerPoint templates, trade show graphics, and small space ads.  This position will work closely with the Marketing Communications Manager and Multimedia Developer to ensure seamless brand consistency and harmonization of media elements. 





Creative design and layout of printed and electronic literature, catalogue, brochures, direct marketing media, trade show graphics and small space advertising. 

Project management of design projects from initial incorporation of messaging content with graphic design elements through print-ready or electronic file preparation

Creative design and development of product logos, packaging and product launch materials

Vendor selection and administration of outsourced print media jobs

Management of document revisions and universal content maintenance

Design, development and revision of communication tool templates, including solutions-based sales tools, E-Bulletin, literature and PowerPoint templates

Contributes to brand consistency, accuracy and compliance with required standards

Understanding and interpretation of global design requirements and preferences

Generates, manipulates and maintains graphic images and files for various media fulfillment requirements including high resolution needs for printed material, low/medium resolution needs for web placement, electronic literature and sales presentation materials

Management and distribution of product and application photos, logos and graphics to distributors, vendors, and public media as requested









Qualifications Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design/ development or media production; minimum four years of design experience

Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software

Experience with HTML and CMS software a plus

Strong visual communication skills; ability to develop a graphic design that communicates intended ideas effectively

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Must be able to work well under the pressure of tight deadlines and changing demands
