Pilgrim's Pride is seeking a Full Time Groundskeeper for our Pittsburg, TX location. This position is a training member of the Grounds and Landscape Crew of Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, performing tasks to install, maintain, and improve the grounds, lawns, and landscapes of Corporation Properties.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Learning and planting turf, ornamentals and bedding plants.
2. Learning and fertilizing and applying pest control with hand and mechanical tools.
3. Learning and cutting lawns with hand or power mowers.
4. Learning and trimming or edging around surfaced areas, flower beds and buildings using weed cutters, hedge trimmers, edging tools and hand tools.
5. Learning and weeding ornamental and flower beds with power tools, chemicals and hand tools.
6. Learning and skillfully pruning shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or removing branches and twigs with hand or power tools.
7. Removing litter along roadside and the properties of Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation.
8. Preparing to learn and assisting the Landscape and Grounds Technical Personnel or Supervisory Personnel performing higher level landscape, professional grounds, and irrigation jobs.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Must be 18 years of age.
2. Must be able to read and speak fluent English.
3. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
4. Must have a Valid Driver’s license.
5. Must be able to learn to operate manual shift vehicles and back trailers.
6. Must have a desire to work outdoors with plants and landscapes.

Education:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
