Group Leader - Maintenance (2nd Shift)

We are currently seeking a Group Leader - Maintenance (2nd Shift) to join our highly skilled manufacturing team at our Milwaukee, WI. headquarters location.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· The Group Leader – Maintenance is position is primarily responsible for supervising the hourly employees within the Maintenance Department for their designated shift.  This includes union skilled tradesman such as electricians, machine repairman, millwrights, etc.. 

· This role will be charged with both leading and developing our highly experienced workforce on the assigned shift within a union environment. 

· Additional responsibilities include departmental safety, quality, and adherence to established processes. This role will also look to develop new processes and manage the maintenance resources/staff in order to achieve maximum productivity. 

· Building teamwork and maintaining clear and consistent communication across all shifts is an essential element of the Group Leader role. 

· Interacting with a wide variety of vendors regarding spare parts, subcontract jobs, delivery and completion dates. 

· Also responsible for generating CEAs and Preventive Maintenance Programs. 

 

 

  QUALIFICATIONS: 

· 3+ years of Strong Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting along with 2-3 years of previous supervisory experience.

· Prior supervisory experience working within a union environment and understanding the administration of a Union contract is a must.  

· Knowledge of electrical trade and functions preferred but not required. 

· SAP experience preferred.  CMMS experience and TPM exposure are also a plus.

· The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills.
