Group Leader - Shipping and Receiving

We are looking for an individual who can direct the department’s activities for all shipping and receiving operations following established manufacturing and quality procedures. This individual must be computer literate, and have significant experience in working in a fast paced, multi-task shipping and receiving environment.  The essential functions of this position are, but not limited to effectively and professionally coordinating activities across all relevant departments, distributing work assignments, assuring shipping, receiving and other duties of shipper/receivers are performed in a timely, accurate and safe fashion. Other important aspects of the job include; providing exceptional service at the lowest cost, training, updating and cross-training employees in all shipping/receiving functions, overseeing and participating in cycle counts, investigating  and resolving shipping discrepancies, using  lift trucks and material handling equipment, hand trucks and dollies, in addition to various other duties as assigned. Minimum requirements for those individuals applying for this position are; a high school education and, preferably 2-4 years of higher education/college and 3-5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving department. The successful applicant will possess a proven work record of leadership qualities, good attendance, initiative, experience in driving continuous improvement activities and strong computer skills.
