Human Resources Administrator

Xaloy, Inc., the leading manufacturer of screws, barrels, rolls and components for the plastic processing industry, is seeking a Human Resources Administrator for our Pulaski, VA location.  This position will be responsible for administering personnel policies and for the administration of established company benefit programs.  This position also develops and recommends new and improved policies and plans with regard to employee benefits for the Pulaski facility; works with other Xaloy HR departments to develop corporate policies; assures compliance with all state and federal requirements and regulations and acts as a resource to all employees on current company benefit programs. 

Responsibilities include analysis, administration, record keeping and communication of benefit programs to all levels of employees;maintainance of records on all company related practices that impact employees; and working with corporate accounting departments and other Xaloy HR departments to ensure proper and timely filing of government, regulatory, and company reports.  This position will also conduct general or specialized training sessions covering new employee orientations, safety, and other areas as required.

The right candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to present complex information to both internal and external groups.  The ability to maintain confidentiality, maintain decorum, and promote a safe, healthy equitable and rational working environment is a must.  In-depth knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulations, including FMLA, ERISA, EGTRRA, OSHA, FLSA and worker's compensation required; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and experience with HRIS/time and attendance/ADP payroll/and reporting systems necessary.  Bachelor's Degree in Personnel Management or a related field of study or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of varied, practical experience in employee relations required; PHR certification preferred but not required.
