HR Staffing Coordinator

PPG Industries, a $14 billion leading producer of coatings, glass, chemicals, and fiberglass is seeking talented people for a HR Staffing Coordinator within the Corporate Staffing & HR department at the Pittsburgh, PA General Office facility.


This person will handle staffing responsibilities and will provide support to the corporate staffing function in addition to providing general administrative support (accounting, purchasing, administrative) to the corporate staffing function. The incumbent will assist with the coordination of hiring processes for all PPG college recruits and experienced exempt talent throughout the US. This includes acting as a liaison between PPG and candidates, hiring managers, college recruiters, corporate and field HR groups, universities across the country and preferred recruiting suppliers. This also includes identifying electronic and traditional candidate sourcing options and working with our external candidate management systems. This person will also troubleshoot problems with the internal and external candidate management system. The incumbent will assist in the coordination of the college recruiting program with applicant processing activities including resume reviewing, candidate interview invitations, coordinating interview visits, pre-employment IT testing as appropriate, and offer/rejection correspondence.

Additional responsibilities will include handling the department accounting responsibilities and participate in various corporate staffing projects. Also may be involved in screening and interviewing employment candidates.
This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing, high-priority tasks in a high volume work environment. Exceptional interpersonal and customer services skills are necessary and strong PC skills are necessary, including the ability to successfully navigate the internet, create and maintain databases, spreadsheets, word processing documents and the PPG web. Accounting skills required to process interdepartmental charges, budgeting and purchasing procedures needed to handle department responsibilities. Knowledge of Human Resources and staffing/recruiting skills and administrative experience required. A college degree or post-secondary education is preferred.
