HRIS Benefits System Consultant

Our client company is looking for a hands-on technical and analytical HRIS Benefits System Consultant.  This person will act as the subject matter expert for new implementations and day-to-day hands-on activities for the Benefits Systems along with all Medical, Pension and Cobra vendor interfaces.  Suggest methods to update, simplify and enhance processes, procedures and technologies. Plan and execute enhancements.  Work with vendors and internal staff to resolve technical issues.  Provide case management support.  Track and manage system issues, investigate and follow up were required.  Apply policies and procedures as appropriate.  Communicate results as needed. Successfully manage Benefits deductions to the Payroll system.  Develop interfaces and ensure feeds are working properly.  Develop testing scenarios and lead testing activities.  Lead status meetings.  Document all processes and train others as required.  Reviews error logs and transactions to ensure system is working as designed.  Work with auditors and actuaries as requested.  Project management and coordination is required.

 

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, HRIS Technology or a related field and five or more years of Benefits Systems experience is required.  Good experience in linking benefits deduction to a payroll system is required.  Strong experience with Benefits Systems, ADP Enterprise/Payroll, Citrix, ReportSmith and SQL.  Strong analytical and project management skills.  Must be able to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.  Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.  Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting established deadlines. Ability to communicate effective both verbally and in writing.  Strong consulting, communication and influencing skills.  Ability to effectively interact and influence all levels of management and staff from diverse cultures.  Ability to work in a faced paced environment.  Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Ability to develop and/or work with advanced macros and complex formulas  Experience in a union manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.  Certified Benefits Professional is a plus.  Some SAP experience helpful.
