Harley-Davidson Knives - Sales Coordinator - Benchmade Knife Company
Benchmade is the world's largest manufacturer of high quality cutlery for the outdoor sports, law enforcement and military markets. Due to our new sales relationship with Harley-Davidson we are supplying them exclusively with our Harley-Davidson Knives. We need some one who has lived the motorcycle industry sales experience...knows the customers, business, culture and loves it!
Our Harley-Davidson Sales Coordinator’s primary role is to provide sales, training and promotional support to Harley-Davidson dealers and Benchmade Premium dealers selling the Harley-Davidson line of knives. The geographical scope of this position is worldwide. This position requires 50% travel.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
· Provide value-added and market driven training in regards to Harley-Davidson Knives as a brand, product, competitive forces, sales techniques & processes, and merchandising techniques.· Work 100% independently, multi-task, and execute meticulous follow through in all aspects of the position’s requirements.· Independently schedule travel 60-90 days out to provide training & sales support for Harley-Davidson Knife Dealers as described above. · Ability to be fiscally accountable and responsible in managing applicable travel expenses. · Generate a month-end sales report that highlights what was accomplished during that month in regards to: (1) Dealers trained(2) Promotional events and opportunities(3) Revised product mix opportunities (4) Opportunities for improvement, etc. Note: A template for the month-end sales report will be provided. · Represent Harley-Davidson Knives at trade shows and industry events. · Participate in all phases of creating sales & product training and collateral materials (i.e. DVD, CD, videotape, brochure, catalog, etc.) that will be used for training. Provide custom-tailored product and/or sales presentations to audiences of all sizes and the ability to incorporate value-added presentation media (i.e. over-heads, power-point, etc.) as applicable to help enhance the communication process.
Experience, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, or Education Required:
· 4 year degree and/or equivalent related successful sales work experience.
· Experience within the motorcycle industry-highly preferred (really a must)!
· Minimum 3 years experience in consumer products at the dealer lever preferred.
· Absolute self starter, yet absolute team player!
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills
· Proven experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to travel frequently nation wide up to 50%.
