LOUD Technologies (formerly Mackie Designs, EAW, etc.) is searching for a Help Desk Analyst to join our IT team in Woodinville, WA. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining and supporting all hardware and software components utilized by employees. This includes, but not limited to: desktop and laptop computers, network operating systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, business applications such as Microsoft Office, cell phones and Blackberry devices and our phone system.
In addition, this position assists with the planning, implementation and management of current and future hardware and software technologies relevant to company directives. The Help Desk Analyst provides technical support to the end user when appropriate. As our business grows, this role could become supervisory. This position reports to the Global Network Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Day-to-day management and task prioritization to ensure timely resolution of Help Desk requests
o Provide technical support and resolution of issues that are submitted to the help desk
o Coordinate moves, adds and changes relating to the network infrastructure including the following:
Creating new user accounts and groups
Managing and applying permissions
Managing resource allocation in support of end-user quotas for email and network use
Servicing day-to-day requests for changes via the Help Desk request system
Activating/deactivating network ports
o Manage software license compliance for all operating systems and applications
o Administration of our phone system and related components
o Support remote users that utilize VPN or other access methods to access Oracle, emails and file sharing resources. This includes support of VPN client software and firewalls
o Support and administration of cell phones and Blackberry devices, including the creation, activation, and deletion of accounts in Blackberry Enterprise Server
o Assist in the development, maintenance and enforcement of policies and guidelines relating to the proper use of corporate computing resources
o 24-hour on-call pager support
o After-hours work to perform upgrades, maintenance and new product deployment when applicable
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor’s Degree in a related field desired
o 5+ years experience in an technology industry-related position
o Additional technology related certifications such as A+ desired
o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certification on Windows 2000 or later and/or two years equivalent Windows 2000 administration experience desired
o Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot computing, networking and phone systems hardware and software including PC and Macintosh computers, Windows 2000/XP/Vista network operating systems, Macintosh OS X operating system, printers, print servers, PBX’s and common desktop applications
o Experience with administering user accounts, user groups, and file permissions in a Windows Active Directory environment
o Knowledge of physical layer technologies, cabling, punch down procedures for Ethernet Category 5/5E/6 568A termination, and fiber optic cabling/termination, 110 and 66 blocks
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to provide prompt after-hours support when called or paged
o End-to-end issue resolution and follow-through skills coupled with clear communication of status to all effected parties
o Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with an eye for detail
o Proven ability to multi-task
o Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
o Ability to lift and move computers, monitors, servers and other networking devices (approximately 40-60 lbs)
o A positive, great sense of humor and a team-oriented attitude are musts! Yes, even with “difficult” users
