Helpdesk Specialist

Provide computer support, problem analysis, and hardware/software installation services for Stanadyne employees. Provide phone, remote, and desk-side technical support to users in the areas of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, e-mail, directory and data management, printing and network connectivity. Perform configuration of systems, communications devices, and peripheral equipment. Corrects and restores end user PC workstations and laptops to operational status.

Provide timely and accurate support to mobile users.  Will configure and perform laptop diagnostics as required.  Will provide peripheral device configuration and wireless network connectivity configuration. Provide support for enterprise applications, Blackberry devices, remote system access (VPN), e-mail connectivity, and other mobile IT applications. Images and deploys PC systems. Performs computer hardware and component installations. Assists in the maintenance of company computer hardware and software.  Will support an office computer environment as well as Engineering and Manufacturing floor technologies.

Monitor Windows update services and assist employees with application software and Windows system support, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Apply specialized knowledge relative to mobile computing and end user productivity. Identifies remote access needs and works to implement best of breed connectivity solutions.

 Provides solutions to system issues which arise due to remote connectivity, mal-ware and virus exposure,
and account issues as well as support for MS Outlook, MS Office suite, Citrix, and Webconferencing tools. Configures VPN client software, Juniper SSL VPN plug-ins, and Active Directory accounts to enable remote connectivity. Configures Blackberry BES accounts and Smartphone devices, and wireless cards to connect with Stanadyne and third party facilities.

 Assists in the evaluation and testing of PC hardware, networking devices, printers and software.Identifies suppliers and vendors for computer and network components.  Works directly with Internet service providers and other technology vendors.

Requirements:


    Four year college degree in computer science or equivalent Information Technology experience.



Strong experience with Windows XP or Vistaoperating systems in a networked environment. 




Experience with IBM, Lenovo, and Dell notebook hardware and wireless 802.11x technologies and a good understanding of the TCPIP protocol.



  Experience configuring and supporting Blackberry and Smartphone devices.

  Experience with Microsoft 2000/2003 Server operating system services.
