HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

 

Heidtman Steel Products, Inc. a dynamic steel processing company located in Granite City, IL is searching for an individual to handle HR Generalist responsibilities. Candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or its equivalent plus 3-5 years prior experience in the HR area. Experience mandatory in the following areas: recruiting, interviewing, training, employee relations, payroll input, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and Safety and OSHA regulations. Orientation for new employees and associated paperwork for payroll and benefits, maintain personnel files, general office administration and ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local laws.

 

Qualified candidates should possess both excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. Must be skilled in conflict resolution and be able to maintain good employee relations.  Strong computer skills needed and knowledge of ADP Enterprise system.  Must be able to multi-task and have good organizational skills as well as problem solving skills and investigation skills.  In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance desired.
