We are seeking a Human Resources Manager for our Clearfield, UT location. This role will support the Torrance, CA, location as well. Travel between the two locations will be mandatory. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead HR activities for the sites and drive strategies to most effectively support the manufacturing operations
Our Clearfield, UT, plant is a FRAM facility specializing in high speed manufacturing of passenger vehicle oil filters. The site employs 130 non-union hourly employees and 20 salaried employees. Torrance, CA, is a Prestone site manufacuring antifreeze. This open position will provide a broad range of HR support actions for achieving business objectives to include talent management (assessment, acquisition, development and redeployment), organization effectiveness (change management, leader effectiveness, organization design), and employee engagement (communications, employee relations, facilitation of rewards and recognition, employee involvement).
ResponsibilitiesLead the HR team in partnering with site leadership to increase operational efficiency and productivity across the facility. Support high-performance culture through staffing, talent development, performance management, and succession planning processes. Be a key member of the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) team as we roll out the Standard Implementation Framework (SIF) Develop, lead, and execute strategies across the locations to foster positive employee relations. Develop and administer policies and procedures to support operational needs. Drive employee excellence through usage high performance work teams and ongoing employee development. Perform the lead HR role at the Clearfield manufacturing site, overseeing all salaried and hourly personnel issues to include: recruiting/staffing, compensation, and employee and labor relations. Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations. Develop a competitive advantage by partnering with plant management and employees to drive significant workforce development and culture improvements Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field Minimum of 5+ years of HR Generalist experience
Additional Qualifications:Master's degree preferred with a concentration in Human Resources, Organization Development, Training, or related discipline preferred. Minimum of 5 years in an HR role supporting a manufacturing environment Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between the manufacturing environment and human resources activities Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency Demonstrated ability to positively influence others Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations Demonstrated usage of change management techniques in a business setting Ability to build successful relationships with senior leaders, salaried staff, and hourly employees to maintain an atmosphere of trust to drive the development of high performance work culturesStrong coaching and mentoring skills
