Human Resources Assistant

LDI employs 1400 people in 8 states and Mexico with $400 million in sales. Responsibilities for this position will include processing employee records, benefits enrollment, compensation records, applications, and EEO/AA records; entering and maintaining data from confidential employee records in HRIS; administering periodic performance management and compensation reviews for production employees; generating and distributing standard reports from HRIS; being the first point of contact for employee questions/ requests; providing general administrative support for the HR department; processing paperwork for FMLA, leaves of absence, short-term disability claims, and COBRA.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

·  Human Resources principles and concepts

·  Office systems software- Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

·  HRIS system- JDEdwards/ Peoplesoft experience preferred

·  OSHA/ Worker’s Compensation experience preferred

·  Organization

·  Balance multiple priorities

·  Basic problem solving

·  Verification

·  Employee relations

·  Business/ technical school or equivalent experience

·  Minimum of 1-2 years HR related experience- manufacturing environment preferred
