Nampac, a division of B Way Corporation is a supplier of plastic injection and blow mold containers.  We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Human Resources and Safety Manager.  This position will support approximately 120 employees and requires a high energy, hands on manager that will participate in the daily plant operations.  Ideal candidates will have experience working in a manufacturing environment with Safety responsibility.

 

 

Our Human Resource & Safety Manager, will provide all general support of HR & Safety functions for our Toccoa Plastic Plant.

 

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional responsible for recruiting, safety, administration of policies and procedures, workers’ compensation, benefits, and employee relations. This person will also be involved in strategic planning issues involving the development of staff, labor turnover and Safety training. Excellent communication and ombudsman skills are necessary to facilitate matters of concern to employees. This person will provide direction and leadership to existing management team / supervisors and will be expected to spend time on the floor interacting with employees and other managers. Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, GA laws / regulations, Lockout/Tagout, HazCom, Confined Space, and OSHA compliance are a necessity.

 

Candidate will be responsible for generalist and safety duties, as well as coach and train fellow managers to properly apply human resource & safety policies and procedures within the plants.

 

Responsibilities will include the following: recruitment, orientation, benefits administration, employee relations, all aspects of safety, training and development.

 

To be considered all applicants must have the following: Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field or equivalent  experience.3-5 years experience in a Human Resource Generalist role with  Safety Responsibility.Experience with Recruiting, ER, OSHA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, Orientation, & Training. Must indicate Salary Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and with PeopleSoft.  This position is based out of Toccoa, GA.

 

 

This is a “hands on” position and is based in Toccoa, GA.  No relocation is available for this position.
