INSIDE SALES COORDINATOR

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the execution and measurement of our U.S. Core Market selling activities and programs per the annual sales & marketing plans, strategies and other approved initiatives.  Interfaces and coordinates with current and prospective direct and indirect customers, independent sales representatives and all relevant internal departments and personnel.  Process owner for “standard” quote process.  Coordinate sales analysis by customer, sales territory and program or initiative.

 

REPORTING TO: National Sales Manager

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives, dispositions, documents and follows up on leads and inquiries.Responds to, collects necessary information, generates and follows up on requests for pricing quotations.Primary process owner for the “Standard Quote Process.”  Maintains process map, dashboard, KPI’s and schedules and chairs team meetings.Primary process owner for implementing and executing “pricing/discount review” process for Core Market customers in the U.S.Assists with development of sales and marketing plans, programs and initiatives.Coordinates clarification, investigation and resolution of customer complaints and problems (other than regarding routine customer service issues), including follow up, documentation and measurement.Provides support and information to the Independent Sales Representatives.  Receives, follows up and responds to sales rep monthly reports and coordinates internal follow-up to issues raised.Generates, analyzes and reports on monthly Sales Analysis by customer and sales territory.Travels to and attends Trade Shows.Travels to various sales territories for sales development, customer sales calls and for support, training and measurement of independent sales representatives.Learns and stays up-to-date with all BAND-IT products and key relevant business processes.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Neat, professional appearance and demeanor – presentable to customers.Strong interpersonal and sales presentation skills.Ability to learn and utilize JDE ERP system.Ability to learn and utilize MSCRM contact management software.Well-organized, thorough and good follow-up skills.Accurate and detail oriented.Mechanical interest and aptitude and a “hands on” interest in current and potential applications of our products.Ability to absorb a large amount of information and then synthesize and boil down to key themes and implications, then clearly and concisely communicate and document (see above).Ability to remain positive and work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.  Good basic working understanding and use of the Internet and of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access).Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form.Willing and able to travel domestically, including overnight and on weekends, including on short notice as needed, however most travel is planned in advance.  Expected travel: Moderate.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Marketing/Sales or Business Administration (preferred) or equivalent combination of relevant work experience, training and education.Minimum 3-5 years successful experience in sales or marketing of or to “Industrial” markets, products or industries (as opposed to Consumer Products, Retail, or Service Industries).  Preferably in a product, market or industry BAND-IT currently serves.
