IT Audit Manager

The IT Audit Manager is responsible for developing and executing a global risk assessment of IT audit risks as well as developing and executing audit work programs to address such risks.  Results of the work will be reported to IT leadership and senior management.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for planning and directing the information systems audit activities and assuring audit resources are allocated to those areas of greatest risk and/or potential savings to the company.Design, direct, conduct, and manage projects to independently analyze and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of management control systems, company activities, processes and procedures, which are primarily high risk or complex assessed involving significant operational, financial, management, or technical considerations surrounding computerized information systems.Determine whether the organization units, processes, applications, and systems are operating as intended by management and comply with company policies and applicable statutory regulations.Manage all phases of the audit project, including effective supervision of other IT audit staff, and personnel from other departments to train and guide them in the performance joint audit projects and in performing control self- assessments.Assist in long range information technology development projects  by participation in the system development life cycle to ensure controls provide reasonable assurance before the system becomes operational.

 QUALIFICATIONS Ability to function independently and interact effectively as member of an international, geographically dispersed team. A conscientious self-motivated worker who thrives on an ability to accomplish results.  Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate common business acumen and financial reports.Demonstrated expertise in utilizing data analytical software (ACL preferred, SAS)Demonstrated ability in problem solving (collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely basis). Be able to communicate and work with cross functional teams and all levels in the organization.Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills before both small and large groups. Be able to create, update and analyze sales reports and results.Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Must be willing to travel up to 30%.BS/BA in accounting, finance, accounting information systems, or information systems. CPA, CIA, CMA, CFA, CISA desired.At least 5+ years of progressive responsibility professional experience in an IT Audit practice and techniques in public accounting, internal audit or accounting role in a manufacturing organization.
