IT Manager

Job Purpose

Directs, supports and coordinates activities of the computer/technology operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates:

Duties

Consults with other managers to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine the scope and priority of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.

Plans and develops policies and procedures for carrying out computer operations.

Recommends and develops plans for system development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget and staffing.

Provides and/or coordinates training for both software and hardware.

Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software and hardware.

Negotiates and contracts with consultants and vendors for services and products.

Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans related to Information Technology.

Meets with the system administrator to discuss progress of work, resolve problems, and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.

Responsible for development and implementation of new and/or existing ERP software.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a college degree or certification from an accredited school of technology with a minimum of 5 years Information Technology management experience.
