IT Manager/Systems Engineer

We are a Brooklyn based contract manufacturer and distributor. We are seeking an experienced

IT Manager/Systems Engineer to oversee, coordinate, and develop the corporate technology of a growing and increasingly technology-demanding organization.

 The responsibilities of the IT Manager/System Engineer include: 

Managing and administering the corporate network
Troubleshooting and performing hardware and software repairs/updates at network and mobile levels as necessary
Managing Cisco IP phone system and overseeing its integration into a Windows corporate environment 
Managing all corporate Blackberry and other cellular/mobile phone accounts, services, and hardware 
Researching, negotiating, recommending, and coordinating technology upgrades 
Administering and assisting in the editing of corporate websites 
Training staff on computer applications and other technology initiatives 
Developing instructional manuals as appropriate 
Maintaining accurate records and administrative files for all hardware, software, and technology related matters 
Defining and managing all MIS software evaluations and vendor contracts 
Working with management to prepare the annual MIS budget 
Working with management to define future requirements consistent with the corporate long range plan 
Being on-call 24-7 to ensure the continuous up-time of the MIS infrastructure 




The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: 

Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 and 2007 expertise
Active Directory 2000 and 2003 expertise
VMware Familiarity/Experience
Citrix Knowledge
Blackberry Enterprise Server experience
Cisco IP Telephony experience 
Ability to manage concurrent projects with defined deadlines 
Experience with Hardware/Software vendor management



The ideal candidate will have the following educational background and experience:

Bachelor’s degree with advanced coursework or experience in the areas defined above 
5+ years experience
