Summary

The Support Technician provides all aspects of day to day computer systems & network support. This includes maintenance and administration of the plant production environment to ensure reliability and availability. This position will be responsible for new hardware and/or software deployments to the client. This position is expected to support and maintain the phone system, printers / copiers, Manufacturing Portal, ERP, WMS, HMI, and HRIS. Other administration duties include knowledge of Active Directory users, E-mail users, Citrix applications, and server backups.

 

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPhone system support and maintenanceCell phone support and maintenancePhone setup / programming and supportWireless Sync user setup and supportCopier and Printer support and maintenanceLabel system administrationZebra printer supportLabel System supportHandheld supportHandheld (and related hardware), application, and server support and maintenanceAll aspects of end user supportEnsure capture of all infrastructure related support requests, issues, and projects in ITRM to include hours required to support function, status changes, and disposition.Provide front line support (walk-ins) regarding infrastructure support issues.Resolve hardware / software issue(s) or escalate when necessaryHardware and software installation for end usersPerform regular maintenance of systems including applying necessary upgrades, patches and service packsRefer software and/or hardware purchase requests to the Team Lead, IT Manager and/or IT Director.Back up Sr. Network Administrator when necessary and when possibleUnder the guidance of the Team Leader – IT Support and Administration perform corporate communications (as needed) and maintain On call 24 x 7New PC Setup and troubleshootingLimited travel to remote sites. (Navarre and/or Branches)

 

 

Essential RequirementsKnowledge of Active Directory including Users, Groups and Group Policies.Basic to mid-level understanding of networks and troubleshooting.Familiar with backup software and understand the different type of backups.Ability to research and troubleshoot issues associated with the organization’s hardware and software.Familiar with Citrix Server Administration.Basic e-mail administration in Lotus NotesAble to setup and configure Wireless Sync clients for corporate cell phones.Understanding of modem configurations and troubleshooting.Ability to work with Unix on a limited scope.Ability to administer Windows 2000 and 2003 environments.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff.Ability to support label printers, scanners, and handhelds in a manufacturing environment.
