Position Summary :

The Reliability Engineer takes the lead role in analyzing equipment failures or slowdowns.  Through the use of proven analysis tools such as RCFA, Apollo, Kepner-Tregoe etc., the incumbent will facilitate analysis by cross functional teams with an objective of eliminating repeat issues.  In order to accomplish this, the equipment condition is a factor, but the team must consider behaviors and practices or procedures that contribute to the incident.

 

Analysis of equipment failures and/or slow downs

Lead cross-functional effort to eliminate future incidents

Identify practices or process that lead to incidents and make recommendations to improve

Provide technical assistance and determine solutions to daily work requests and plant activities

Organize and maintain incident investigation history and follow-up

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Educational Background :

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

 

 

Experience :

2 years of maintenance experience in the cement industry or heavy manufacturing environment.

Ability to lead, organize, and influence

Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Maximo

Experience with project planning techniques, tools and strategies would be an asset
