Independent Bookeeper

Local food manufacturer seeking Independent bookeeper/HR with qualifications to complete the following on a monthly basis. Monthly financials are targeted to be completed by the 14th of every month and we have the flexability to afford some of this work to be done offsite . This position will be available to start at the beginning of June 2008.  Payroll is processed every other Wednesday and would need to be completed at office site.  We would be open to seperating the bookeeping responsibilites from the HR/payroll, if we were to have a candidate that is ideal for just the bookeeping portion.  Confidentiality agreement would be required.

Monthly Bank reconciliation

Quarterly/Year-end Maintain assets – review payables to assure that they have been assigned correctly

Monthly Reconciliation of accrued liabilities

Prepare monthly financials for President/GM/Bank

Prepare collateral submissions i.e. a/r, a/p, inventory

Post re-occurring journal entries (soon to be automated)

Prepare debt schedule

Governmental census as necessary

Prepare information for CPA associated with year-end tax returns and CPA reviews

Prepare monthly reports for President/GM

Prepare financial packages as necessary associated with potential new banks

Set-up lease schedules; review leases

Payroll – bi-weekly

Update employee weekly hourly log; maintain PTO

Monthly workers compensation calculations

Maintain OSHA 300 series forms and posting

Maintain employee files; filing

Costing for company products; set-up templates which can be updated with current accounting system; oversee accuracy; instruct use
