We currently have an opening for an Installation Technician.  PLEASE NOTE:  THIS POSITION REQUIRES 100% TRAVEL REQUIREMENT. 

Details of the opening are as follows:

Job Summary:Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects Physically install and configure Applied Innovation Inc. network equipment plus other necessary equipment Plan and implement field installations for AI Monitoring equipment Advise customers on the proper application and function of AI products at wireless applications Train Jr. AI personnel on installations, and other real world issues pertaining to EF&I Support customer programs to successfully install / test / turn-up / troubleshoot and upgrade AI equipment. Provide on-site operational and maintenance training for the customer Replace broken or malfunctioning hardware Document installation and configuration, including any changes Maintain daily activity logs Perform acceptance testing on newly installed and updated systems Report design, reliability, and safety problems Participate in site surveys and business process analyses to insure correct site engineering; Document results of site survey Provide on-site and remote support for system installations Work closely with other Project members Technical presentations to customers 100% Nationwide travel will be required

Required Qualifications:2 year degree in CS, EE or equivalent experience 5 or more years of experience working with wireless carriers/RBOC 5 years experience working with and installing and configuring hardware in the field Working knowledge of setup and configuration of WLAN and LAN devices Able to install, configure, troubleshoot and use software applications and tools for system configuration and testing Advanced PC technician skills (loading software, installing and configuring hardware) Excellent writing skills Excellent verbal skills Able to work in a team environment, and interact effectively with other groups and departments, clients, partners, and contractors Ability to use and interpret test equipment such as protocol analyzers, spectrum analyzers, T1 test sets and cable tester
