Instrumentation Technician

For quick consideration apply hereWork as part of a team in the LaCrosse Evaluation Engineering Laboratory supporting testing processes. Relocation benefits are available to qualified candidates. Flexibility in work hours and shifts are expected. A significant segment of the laboratory works on first shift, but shifts and work hours can vary based on project assignment needs. Overtime is expected when needed. • Primary focus will be on instrument calibrations, instrument installation, controls installation and configuration, data acquisition hardware, and software setup. • Troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems. • Perform maintenance on instruments and calibration equipment. • Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within assigned department. Associate’s degree or 2-year diploma in instrumentation technology preferred. Will consider electromechanical or electronics or related field. 2 or more years of experience preferred, but new graduates considered. Valid driver’s license required. Good mechanical aptitude required. Must be comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and tools specific to HVAC industry. Intermediate user computer skills required. Good fundamental knowledge of electricity and electrical trouble shooting required. Must be able to be licensed for material handling devices. Position requires frequently lifting 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Considerable time could be spent standing. Must be able to work from lifts, scaffolds, ladders, or other devices. Vision requirements include using close vision and ability to adjust focus. Approved safety glasses with side shields and shoes with steel covered toe protection are required.
