Position Description:

Instrumentation and Controls / Commissioning Technician

 

Position overview:

The position involves the following responsibilities:

 

· Significant International and Domestic travel (Middle East, So. America, Europe, Africa, etc.; travel can be (1 – 4 weeks per trip and 20 – 50% of total time traveling)

· Factory start-ups, training and testing of modular process equipment skids.

· Proven field troubleshooting and service skills.

· Factory systems and controls and standard electrical work as required.

 

 

Technical Requirements:

· Familiarity with pressure and temperature transmitters, PLC’s controllers, actuated valves, solenoids, combustion equipment, blowers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, control logic, process equipment is required.

· Qualified controls electrician

· Excellent experience with electrical systems including controls and instrumentation. Programming experience with PLC’s (Siemens;  Allan Bradley)

· Ability to read ladder/logic diagrams.

· Ability to fully assemble and wire a panel based on appropriate drawings.

· Thorough knowledge of wire terminations, conduit bending, and associated skills related to “skid” type wiring.

· Explosion Proof and Hazardous Area electrical a plus.

· Post-High School Education preferred.

· 10 years experience

· Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically as required

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Customer relations ability and "get it done right" mentality

· Certain physical demands are required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is full-time.

· Compensation is Salary.

· Over-time is required; weekend travel is required; international travel is required.
