Tyco had 2007 revenue of more than $18 billion and has 118,000 employees worldwide.The Communications Intern will support the Corporate Communications team whose function is to: influence employee attitudes and behaviors to transform strategy into performance and encourage pride and enthusiasm in the company; manage Tyco's reputation and brand by ensuring consistency in messaging and cultivating positive relationships with Tyco's key constituencies; and direct Tyco's corporate citizenship program and encourage employee support for the communities where the company has a presence and for programs that align with company priorities. Major Responsibilities - Interface with VP, Director, Manager and Coordinator of Corporate Communications as well as business and function leaders to support the development and execution of communications plans and initiatives aligned with the company's strategic priorities. - Create and disseminate organizational announcements, leadership messages and employee communications using various channels including online, face-to-face, video and print.- Support content management efforts associated with company Intranet and Internet sites.- Handle communications project(s) as assigned from start to finish.Requirements: Qualifications/Attributes - Undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or Graduate degree candidate in Communications or related discipline- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills- Detail-oriented and organized- Excellent computer skills and experience in Web site technologies- Self-motivated and able to complete projects independentlyApply Online Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
