Perform Sarbanes-Oxley internal control reviews. Provide assistance to external auditors during the year-end audit of the company.1. Sarbanes-Oxley Internal Control Reviews - Plan the scope and timing of audit engagements with audit senior. - Identify risks associated with key areas. - Document procedures and controls. - Test SOX internal controls. Identify control weaknesses. Prepare audit work papers documenting audit work performed. - Prepare summary report of findings and relevant recommendations. - Communicate audit findings to supervisor and key area personnel. - Effectively manage multiple reviews.2. Compliance Audits - Formulate audit plan, scope, and audit schedule with audit senior. - Identify risks associated with key areas. - Document procedures and controls. - Test internal controls. Identify control weaknesses. - Prepare audit work papers documenting audit work performed. - Prepare summary report of findings and relevant recommendations. - Communicate audit findings to supervisor and key area personnel.3. External Audit Year-end Financial Review - Coordinate with external auditors to gain an understanding of the plan, scope, and timing of the engagement. - Execute the KPMG audit program. - Prepare audit work papers documenting audit work performed. - Communicate audit findings to KPMG Audit Senior.4. Maintain Accounting Proficiency - Develop an understanding of the Corporate Controllers Manual and Accounting Information System (JD Edwards). - Attend accounting related seminars. Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required - Accounting or Auditing Certification (CMA, CPA, CSA, etc.) preferred - Entry level to five years of audit experience - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) - Ability to interact with all levels of management - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to travel approximately 25% of the timePotlatch Forest Products Corporation offers a comprehensive pay and benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), tuition refund and opportunities for professional growth.
