International Application Engineer

International Application Engineer This position is located at the Fairbanks Morse facility (a Pentair Company).  Purpose of Position: Analyze, organize, and layout the application of water and wastewater pumps to conform with customer requirements of a complex nature. Encompasses total application engineering function and will service multiple regional sales offices and distributors.     RESPONSIBILITIES : 1.  Analyzes, organizes, and describes the application of Pentair Water products to conform to customer requirements. Supplies technical information on product performance, auxiliary equipment needed, installation requirements, pricing and delivery schedules. 2. Determines product notification and/or design modification to adapt products to customer’s needs. Determines possible application of non-company products. Coordinates product design with the Engineering Department. 3.  Supplies technical data of product application to sales inquiries, instruction manuals, pricing sheets, etc., and prepares technical data and reports to establish information useable as a reference in a technical area. 4.  Direct the application of new products or modification of older products. 5.  Consult with customer and/or customer representative to plan or clarify job requirements. 6.  Assist in product training to internal personnel and/or field sales and assist in product presentations to customers or distributors.     QUALIFICATIONS:   Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent experience.  Bi-lingual skills (Spanish, Chinese, Arabic preferred) Computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office.  Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.  Ability to communicate professionally with individuals both within and outside the organization.  Organizational skills required to respond to and meet multiple deadlines.  Self-motivated.     EXPERIENCE: Technical knowledge and experience in sales of water and wastewater pumps. Experience in reading and understanding technical plans and specifications. Experience with multiple software packages desired, including Microsoft Office and J D Edwards.  Pentair is an equal opportunity employer   Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
