Sales/Retail/Business Development Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Contact Information Reference Code: 1917 Job Description International Sales Manager Position: International Sales Manager Location: Delavan, WI Corporate Overview Pentair is a diversified operating company headquartered in Minnesota.  Its Water Group is a global leader in providing innovative products and systems used worldwide in the movement, treatment, storage and enjoyment of water.  Pentair's Enclosures Group is a leader in the global enclosures market, designing and manufacturing standard, modified, and custom enclosures that house and protect sensitive electronics and electrical components.  With 2007 revenues of $3.45 billion, Pentair has approximately 15,000 employees worldwide. Visit our corporate website for more information: www.pentair.com     Position Overview   The International Sales Manager is challenged with growing the export sales of the water systems business.   Responsibilities include:   ·  Optimizing global product sales opportunities while increasing profitability ·  Coordinate with marketing to assure pricing, brand, and communication strategies consider global inputs and are implemented on global level ·  Educate regional Pentair sales teams about products and applications of products, thus positioning them to grow those markets and to coordinate the sales goals of the business with the targets in the regions.  ·  Coordinate with the various internal functions to bring rapid response/execution to the sales teams and the customers. Help lead/facilitate “voice of the customer” and “passion for the customer” ·  Provide management and the regional sales teams with a regular stream of data on areas such as: o Sales performance to target and to prior year by region, by customer, etc o Track key initiatives and performance against those initiatives     Key Deliverables   Drive International Growth Drive focus on International growth (7-10% expectations) through the Regional Sales Teams Assist marketing in preparing Business plans to address International needs   Coordination of Export Growth with the businesses/facilities Develop project initiatives and bowling charts to drive and measure progress Provide product and application training and collateral support for regional sales teams Track incremental growth targets regionally Facilitate and communicate effectively 360° globally     Critical Competencies Needed for Success:   Global Mindset: Has cross cultural sensitivity through an awareness of cultural differences and perspectives.   Product and application knowledge: Understands product portfolio, specifications, features and benefits and their application. Deep appreciation of Pentair’s value proposition sales and marketing channels. Strong understanding of competitors and their strategies.   Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen:  Talks and acts with the customer in mind. Has the ability to narrow the customer focus and select products and/or solutions that are right for the business.  Possesses a broad vision of business and understands how other functions relate to sales decisions and ultimately impact the P&L. Has ability to effectively leverage business resources to successfully accomplish objectives.    Influencing: Must be an excellent communicator, being able win the support of the entire organization with their current knowledge of the marketplace.
