The Wasserstrom Company is one of the top Food Service Distributors in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.  Our Purchasing Department has an opportunity available for an Inventory Planner in Columbus, Ohio. 

 

The Inventory Planner position is responsible for evaluating, planning and releasing purchase orders to meet business requirements and objectives; monitoring delivery, including purchase order acknowledgements and expediting suppliers as may be required; resolving receiving discrepancies; developing and monitoring supplier performance measurements; and providing timely information and follow-up to customer service issues relating to delivery and availability. 

 

This position involves a range of interpersonal contacts both within the organization and the outside supplier community.  Successful candidate will have strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.  Candidates must be able to operate effectively in a team environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while still maintaining attention to detail. 

 

Applicants must have two - four years of inventory planning experience, and/or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work knowledge.
