Inventory/Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Job Purpose: Accepts shipments, maintains production by inventorying and disbursing supplies and parts by completing customer orders by entering,  packing and shipping. 

Duties:

* Verifies items received by checking identifying information of item; inspect condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list.

* Maintains inventory by marking and placing items in stock; establishing inventory reorder points; reporting items to be reordered.

* Documents inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, losses, and removals of items.

* Maintains production by identifying space for staged components; delivering components to work centers; requisitioning and verifying additional components.

*Maintains finished goods inventory by  entering product into data base.

*Prepares inventory reports by collecting and analyzing information on stock usage.

* Receives and prepares orders; enters orders; verifies orders by reviewing 'bill-to' and 'ship-to' addresses; flagging for price, and credit limits.

* Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies.

* Prepares invoices by calculating special charges; correct shipping dates in computer system; placing orders in ready status.
