Inventory Specialist

A manufacturing and pack out facility in northwest Houston is accepting applications for an Inventory Specialist.

 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the inventory information within Drake Pack’s integrated software system via all production data entry, inventory adjustments, form processing, and cycle counting.

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

·  Perform inventory data entry during job start-ups and production line clearance.

 

·  Work with Logistics department to ensure timely flow of all materials (corrugated, product, and supplies) to and from production lines.

 

·  Enter all “real-time” production and inventory data in Imaginera (PDE) for all production lines.

 

·  Ensure accuracy of inventory consumption during “Move to Finished Goods”.

 

·  Track all inventory waste within Imaginera at the time of production.

 

·  Produce and secure all new Load Tags on each unit of inventory and destroy all obsolete Load Tags.

 

·  Ensure min / max inventory levels match product requirements and notify Customer Service if any levels fall outside specified range.

 

·  Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and to validate effective policies and procedures.

 

·  Reconcile on-hand inventory to customer documentation for all customer inventory.

 

·  Generate reports for management as necessary.

 

·  Maintain adherence to all policies and procedures.

 

·  Other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Must have prevalent work experience with inventory control in a manufacturing environment.  Must be computer literate and able to learn quickly and proficiently.  Must possess exceptional math skills and understand inventory concepts.
