Journeyman CNC O.D. Grinder/Machinist
CNC Grinder/Machinist
Hood Machine, Inc. is seeking journeyman level machinists experienced in CNC O.D. grinding. This job requires the ability to set-up, program and grind step shafts up to 120" long unassisted. Experience with Fanuc controls and controls for model GE6P-250 Toyoda CNC O.D. Grinder is helpful, but not required. Experience with job quoting is a plus.
Minimum Requirements: Must be able to interpret drawings to print, job shop experience, ability to set up and operate machinery with minimal supervision, strong mathematical skills, excellent communication and problem solving skills in a team environment, must have own tools, be able to read, write and speak English and have shift flexibility.
Desired Requirements: Experience with Myford, Surface and Centerless grinding, forklift experience/certification, GED/High School Diploma
Positions are full time only with occasional overtime required.
