Business Unit Description SPX Process Equipment, Waukesha Cherry-Burrell division, is a manufacturer of stainless steel pumps, valves and process systems for the sanitary and industrial markets. Job Summary Purchases materials, parts, supplies and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures, and optimizing price, delivery and terms. Assisting senior buyer in negotiation or specification development. May participate in special projects and initiative development. Contacts: Works primarily with Planners, Material Coordinators, and Purchasing Coordinators. Daily contact with outside vendors and suppliers. Responsibilities Negotiate pricing with Senior Buyer assistance, delivery, and other issues surrounding items to be purchased as assigned by Purchasing ManagerAssist with purchase order preparation and entry for the items to be purchased and others as requested.Assist department personnel with accounts payable matching as it relates to quantity and price discrepancies.Provide customer service support for tracing information and special needs.Expedite purchase order needs to ensure timely delivery.Works with Senior Buyers to provide support to their product lines as required.Work with Senior Buyer when obtaining supplier quote requests.
