Junior Buyer

The Junior Buyer will interact with suppliers and negotiate bill rate, creating PO's and managing supplier invoices.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited too:
Purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment and supplies from vendors Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers Handle compliance/audits of purchasing data; this entails generating and creating metrics for reporting purposes Coordinating activities associated with report generation as well as completing various reports Component procurement in support of subcontracts as well as buying items for company needs Performs administrative task, as needed Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgement


Qualifications include but are not limited to
Experience with retails customer base (E.g. Big box retailers) Bachelor's degrees in business or related field or must have equivalent work experience Prior experience in the automotive aftermarket preferred Minimum of 5 years work related experience to include the following areas: Purchasing, Production Planning Processes, Global Sourcing, Manufacturing and Forecast Management CPM certification is desired Requires knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and related systems (Mapics/AS400) and knowledge of P.C. based systems
