Junior Web Producer

JUNIOR WEB PRODUCER

 

We are a leading professional hair care manufacturer seeking a freelance Junior Web Producer (JWP).  This independent contractor position will be responsible for the management and on-time, quality delivery of small to large scale web-based projects from inception to completion.  The JWP scopes assigned projects, prepares and maintains complex project timelines, sitemaps, asset logs and coordinates with design, web development, tech and other relevant content.  In addition, the JWP will work with the Communications Team to ensure timely, accurate web production and to develop and implement grassroots on-line consumer and trade promotion and e-mail campaigns.

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

-  Manage small to large scale web based projects within one division or across multiple divisions from inception to completion (creative, scope development, design, production, QC, tracking, delivery, review and then to launch.

-  Create and maintain thorough project roadmap (scoping documentation, production timeline and other areas as it relates to this).

-  Hands-on development of websites and other web-based projects.

-  Provide daily status on projects to Communications Team.

-  May work with agency of record to provide back-end support.

-  Coordinate and keep track of all reviews and approvals from Creative, Legal, Marketing, Education, Sales and others.

-  Communicate clearly and often with project team of revisions, scope and timeline.

-  Enforce standards and best practices for all web based projects.

-  Keep track of hours worked on each project.

-  Recommend creative solutions to business issues.

-  Research and evaluate competitive websites to continuously improve quality of work.

-  Identify potential needs for improvement and advise Communications Director of potential solutions.

-  Organize production assets, source files and production files for easy retrieval.

-  Keep track of hours worked one each project for accounting purposes.

- Provide recommendation and implement approved grassroots online consumer and trade promotion and e-mail campaigns.  Provide measurement tools and programs for such.

 

 

Requirements may include, but are not limited to:

 

- 0-1+ years of experience in on-line industry

- Excellent communication skills

- Highly organized, detail oriented and reliable

- Tech savvy, (HTML, Flash, Illustrator, JavaScript, CSS, MS Project, MS PowerPoint,  Photoshop. FTP, Office, Blogs, Email and all other relevant current technology).

- Ability to manage multiple projects win fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

- Cool under pressure with ability to sprint to the finish under tight deadlines.

- Must have intermediate to advanced graphic design skills utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator.
