Kaizen Promotion Officer

 

MAAX, Inc., a quality committed manufacturer of top of the line bathtub and shower units located in Plymouth, IN, has an immediate opening for a Kaizen Promotion Officer.  This position will report to the Corporate Director of MPS and is responsible for coordinating all 'Lean' initiatives and management of Kaizen events implemented by MAAX in its Indiana facilities to achieve business objectives.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:Extensive hands on experience in Lean Manufacturing Able to plan, develop, and oversee Kaizen events. Ability to take the lead role in the selection, training and development of the manufacturing team to meet the stated objectives and drive Lean Transformation throughout operations. Supervise all Kaizen act ivies in order to ensure optimal use of our resources. Represent his/her site in all cross-plant initiatives and decisions that are related to Lean, including the creation of a MAAX Lean methodology and common best practices.  Participates to the exchange and promotion of best practices. Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to the function.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations Management plus a minimum of 5 years experience in continuous improvement processes, or project management in a manufacturing environment.

Additionally, the position will require up to 50% travel, including some travel to Canada.
