Lab Scientist II

The Laboratory Scientist performs chemical analysis; develops new and improves existing test methods; assists in problem solving and provides technical service to other Entegris functional groups, namely, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Entegris' business units; and initiates and/or contributes to the design of research projects.

1. Product and Process Development
Conducts testing and research in support of manufacturing, engineering, and Entegris' business groups. Provides accurate and timely information on which product development and product applications can be based. Develops and writes test and instrument operating procedures as required.

2. Analysis and Testing
Carries out testing and operates laboratory equipment in support of research and laboratory objectives.

3. Support
Writes technical reports in a timely manner. Ensures technical information is distributed appropriately. Provides guidance and technical support to technician level personnel as required. Provides information regarding laboratory capabilities and technology to customers and other departments within Entegris.

4. LeanSigma
Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality.

5. Overall Support and Quality Focus
Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization. Participates in Entegris' continuous quality improvement process and dedication to customer satisfaction.
BS degree in chemistry, materials science, polymer engineering, or related field. A minimum of two years of chemical analysis experience. Occasional travel involving over-night stays is expected.
