Position is responsible for manufacturing quality products efficiently, accurately, safely, and on time and to learn, apply and teach machine operation, work instructions, SOPs and quality and safety requirements involved in multiple manufacturing processes.

Lake Plant operators are fully proficient with all machinery and processes in their normally assigned plant operation and/or possess sufficiently broad specialized knowledge of Colorcon's manufacturing operations, raw materials, cGMP requirements and formulas to be able to productively function in another department if reassigned.

Lake Plant operators must meet requirements of all job responsibilities assigned and are expected to demonstrate full proficiency in quality, safety and production responsibilities through performance excellence by example.

Responsibilities & DutiesMaintain, schedule, and execute an annual retraining program, which covers all departmental SOP's with all operators on the shift. Assist the shift leader with investigations of quality alerts, internal audit findings, external customer audit findings, or customer complaints. Initiate operator-specific or general departmental retraining as indicated by findings of those investigations. Support and communicate Colorcon's mission, vision and strategies and adhere to and uphold Colorcon's Guidelines for Excellence, Code of Conduct, and Employee Honor Code and Incident Reporting programs. Serve as knowledge resource for same for newer employees. Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Site Manager.Required Skills

High School diploma and at least two-years manufacturing experience are required, including demonstrated proficiency of Colorcon capacity operations and work processes.Very good math and reading comprehension skills and ability to apply and teach detailed written instructions and procedures are required. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to articulate and practice cGMP requirements related to capacity operations and recognize non-compliance to quality and safety standards. Possess physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 1000 lbs. and experience almost constant standing or walking in indoor plant environment.
