Launch Engineer

We have an opportunity available for a Launch Engineer at our Detroit Technology Center in Detroit, MI.
Overview
Under the guidance of the Manager, Product Operations Launch, this role will provide hands-on support to new LVS product launches and transfers ensuring success.
Dimensions
• No direct reports, position will require travel (domestic and international) approximately 50% of the time
Principle Accountabilities
• Work with plant core teams to keep program on track; keep critical metrics updated
• Discuss and review with Program Manager and Product launch manager new ways of doing business to keep consistency in launch process
• Support ongoing meetings and report status and issues to Product Launch Manager; Provide input to launch preparedness meetings and management reviews
• Prepare action plans and recommendations; Identify and help resolve launch issues
• Utilize C2C Concept whenever possible/practical
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline required
• 5-7 years experience in manufacturing operations required; experience in product launch/transfers also required
• OEM product launch experience desired
• Willingness to travel, domestically and internationally
