Lead Design Engineer

Cougar Industries, based in Peru IL has served the material handling industry for more than 45 years. We design and manufacture vibratory equipment and other material flow aids. We are currently looking for a lead design engineer.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork directly with management to evaluate new product feasibility. Design and coordinate the manufacture of prototype products. Communicate with customers on engineered applications. Supervise a small design staff. Establish product improvement and cost reduction discipline. Be a source of new products and new ideas.

 

QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. Proficient with SolidWorks. Ability to troubleshoot and isolate faults. Mechanically inclined with a curiosity about how things work and how to make them better.
