Lead Maintenance Service Technician
Maintain optimal productivity, efficiency and safety through oversight of maintenance aspects of the facility and leadership to maintenance crew.QualificationsPhysical/Visual Activities or Demands: 1. Physical demands Considerable physical demands. Frequently requires a high degree of manual dexterity. Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling and stooping.2. Mental/Visual demands Requires frequent to continuous concentrated mental and close visual attention performing complex tasks for sustained periods.Environmental Conditions/Hazards: 1. Environmental Primarily indoor working conditions, occasionally outdoor conditions. Exposed to any number of elements including dust, fumes, exhaust and noise.2. Hazards Injuries, should they occur, could result in loss of time due to causes such as severe fractures, loss of fingers, or toes, eye injuries or some exposure to health hazards not incapacitating in nature.Education: High school graduate and two years college or experience equivalent to two years college preferred.Experience: Three to five years maintenance experience with one to two years supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility preferred.Skills and Abilities, which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:Detail oriented.Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and problem solve.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Must have good communication skills (oral and written).Ability to draw and read blueprints of mechanical parts.Ability to bronze, solder, heli arc aluminum, mig and tig weld.Capable of operation of lathe, milling machine, grinders, drill press, welder and all other shop tools required to make parts and on use of projects.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids, which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position: Manual machinery including lathes, milling machines, drill press and grinder. Welders including Mig, Tig and Heli-Arc. Voltmeters and standard hand tools. Precision levels, micrometers and dial indicators. Electrical Certification or must be able to obtain certification when hired. Must provide own hand tools.
