Lead Operator Production - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities: Lead Process Operator (3rd shift, 10:00 pm - 6:30 am) Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned. Maintains accurate and complete manufacturing records. Monitors each operation to assure compliance with document instructions, SOP's, GMP's, OSHA, DEA and company policies. Assigns personnel to the different duties within the manufacturing department checks incoming and outgoing materials and batches, to assure that they comply with GMP's, department schedules and special instructions. Assumes department Supervisor's position in his absence or when required. Perform special duties and functions as required by department supervisor. Operates all different machines and equipment when necessary. Instructs personnel in proper working methods and procedures Verifies that all quality assurance activities are performed in accordance with specifications. Audits, assure and releases properly cleaned equipment before use. Also, that cleaning procedure is properly logged. Maintains a constant flow of production through the department. Explain, clarifies any problem that arises in his/her department as per cGMP's and SOP's. Is alert to stop any machine, process and/or operation to minimize lost time and avoid further problems. Informs department Supervisor of situation. Is familiar with all different functions of the department. Qualifications: This job requires 1 year previous experience as a Lead Operator in a Pharmaceutical, solid dosage environment. Ability to troubleshoot, identify, and explain any abnormal situation that results or could result in a problem. This job requires High School or equivalent in High School Graduate, some college courses desirable. This job requires other specialized knowledge or requirements of Ability to work and interact with employees at all levels. Employee must understand the basics of cGMP's, Safety. Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally, in English. Knowledgeable of the applicable SOP's and SOI's of the areas.
