Core Responsibilities: Design and develop processes and products to meet all customer contractual, program, design and quality requirements.Champions the review of the design (Advanced Product Quality Planning), manufacturing and test documentation to ensure that applicable contract, program, design and quality requirements are met.Provides technical and advisory support to the production area to ensure development of products in the manner that matches customer expectations.Provides interface and support to customer product concerns to facilitate responsiveness to customers.Applies knowledge of specialized processes, machine capabilities and material properties to determine how requirements can be satisfiedDevelops product costs, manufacturing lead times, and then prepares estimates in response to requests for quotationsProvides direction and interpretation of customer specifications to ensure the internal and external costs (hours and dollars) required for tooling, programming, gages and special fixtures required to manufacture parts, which are incorporated in the overall estimate.Responsible for customer contract review including creating work orders and understanding requirements for production Education, Experience and Behavioral Competency Requirements: BS Degree in Engineering and with a proven track record of three to five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace a plus).Demonstrated ability to maintain and sustain design technical support for the processes on the shop floor.Proven understanding of product design, manufacturing process and behavior of material.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and develop work instructions, solutions to problems and reports for all levels of employees, supplier and customers.High energy level required.Entrepreneurial drive a plusKnowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma helpful.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
