Lead Project Engineer

 Handles various Solo projects complete from concept to full implementation. Job Description: Analyzes business opportunities and develops business case supporting Solo’s position in the marketplace. Develops and manages all aspect of CPAs from concept to full implementation,leading large projects involving cross-functional teams. Provides support and improved design enhancements to manufacturing equipment in sustaining and developing preferred methods and procedures within Solo Cup Company. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to interface with Solo associates as well as third party companies providing services to Solo. Knowledgeable in materials as related to Solo product line in analysis of advancing product specification enhancements in performance and cost improvements. Supports our manufacturing sites in successful attainment of their goals. Interfaces as required with purchasing, finance and all support departments in execution of duties. Ability to travel on business as required in execution of duties. Provides Supervision and direction to Solo vendors and manufacturing sites as required respective to projects assigned.   Job Requirements: BS in Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years appropriate hands-on experience.  Proven track record in project management.  Must be functional in machine/product design and materials relating to supply of (plastic) products to meet or exceed Solo’s customer requirements. Strong Mechanical Engineering background required. Working knowledge in areas of Preventative and Predictive maintenance techniques.  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, problem solving, leadership and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. LOCATION: US-IL-HIGHLAND PARK
